Zac and Joan will Celebrate One Full Year of Being Inseperable Bums (and a couple) on their First Full Day Abroad in London!
It all began a September ago, in the backyard of a rickedy old house in Western Boulder...plans for a great journey. Our cross country hichhiking journey was perceived dangerous and crazy by most, consisting of significantly more than the common ticket tourist attractions. This two month escape from real life AND simultaneous glimpse of another kind of real life, however, turned out to be overall a positive experience, and I am afriad, may have merely wet our appetites for uncommon hoboing experiences.

This Trip in the Making...
I once had plans to move to Ireland with a backpack and see what happened--serve beer, eat potatoes, wander around in the hills. What happened, unfortunately, was that that did not happen (ah well, I had a lot of plans once upon a time). After some unplanned extended travels to some lesser known corners of the country, I was left to return to Boulder and start over with a plan to see the world.
Finally I am embarking on the journey for which I saved all my money through a year of slaving for an unnamed evil *%&%*& corporation and doing some substantially more tolerable work at a lab, and sometimes even enjoyable work with a few very cool kids in Boulder, CO. Zac miraculously still has $ from getting his shoes green mowing lawns years ago. Now we've got the bikes, the camping gear, the legs (well, Zac does at least, mine are still just trying to comprehend the idea of being fast at biking) to ride and camp and explore for thousands of uncharted miles through Europe.
